Continued Care shortlisted for three regional Great British Care Awards

Continued Care has been shortlisted in three categories of the Great British Care Awards for Yorkshire and the Humber.

Our team member Rachel Roy has been named in the Home Care Worker category, while Samantha Fenwick-Scott is shortlisted for the Home Care Co-ordinator award. Meanwhile, Continued Care has been shortlisted for the Care Employer Award for the first time.

We’re absolutely thrilled to be in these three categories. Both Rachel and Samantha are very deserving nominees and we’re extremely proud that this has been recognised by the Great British Care Awards. It’s also a fantastic result for us to be among the shortlisted companies for the Care Employer Award. Our business is all about people: we work hard to give the best possible care to our clients, and we also want our staff to feel valued and rewarded for their contribution. We hold the Investors in People Gold Award as a result, and we’re so pleased that the Great British Care Awards have also recognised the way we look after our staff.

Being shortlisted for the Care Employer Award is a first for us, as is Samantha’s recognition in the Care Co-ordinator category.  However, we’re not new to the Great British Care Awards: we have been shortlisted in several other categories in the past. Last year, another team member, Julie Gordon, was shortlisted in the regional finals for the Home Care Worker Award, and in 2010 Sue McGowan won the national title, which was an incredible honour and very well deserved.

This time, we’ve gone through the judging process, so now it’s just a question of waiting for the results. The announcement will be made at an awards night held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds this Friday, 4th November. Wish us luck!
