So proud of our staff in the Great British Care Awards 2019
Once again this year, our amazing staff have done us proud in the Yorkshire
and Humber regional round of the Great British Care Awards 2019.
Six members of our team in Harrogate and Settle have been
shortlisted for awards. They are: Alex
Jakab (Harrogate) for the Dignity and Respect Award, Kristina Carr (Harrogate) for the Home Care Worker Award, Gill Bullock (Harrogate) for the Care
Coordinator Award, Maddie Cokell (Settle) for the Palliative Care/End of Life Award, Glynis Storey (Settle) for the Dementia Carer Award, and Jessica Hodgson (Settle) for the Care
We are also delighted that Continued Care itself is also a
finalist in the Care Employer Award!
The Great British Care Awards celebrate excellence in care, and pay tribute to the outstanding contribution of everyone from frontline staff to managers in all areas of social care across England.
The awards are based on nominations, with many of Continued Care’s
staff put forward by families of people they work with and colleagues. All nominees
are then interviewed by a panel of judges before being shortlisted. Winners of
regional awards then go forward to the national finals.
Our director Samantha Harrison has also been a judge in this
year’s awards after carrying out the role last year. Joining her at the judging
day in York to assess some of the categories not featuring our staff was
Continued Care’s care service manager Sam Fenwick-Scott. They both had a
wonderful day hearing about the inspirational people and organisations working
in the care sector and reinforced the amazing work that goes on daily within
All shortlisted staff from Continued Care will be attending the
glittering awards ceremony at the York Railway Museum on November 22nd,
alongside other members of our team.
Samantha said: “I am so proud of all our staff who are finalists
in the Great British Care Awards 2019. It’s well-deserved recognition for their
amazing work and commitment to providing the best care possible for the people
we support. Their contribution to our company, our clients and the care sector is
outstanding, and they are already winners in my eyes!”
We wish everyone the very best of luck at the awards evening in
